Re: Ruby carburetor

In another thread I have been given these suggestions, so now have something to go on...

"You may like to consider the following suggestions that have worked for me in the past:

- vapour/soda/media blasting.

- use a dishwasher.

- boiling water with a Daz (or similar) tablet.

- carburettor cleaner.

- use an ultrasonic cleaner.

- use Marine-Clean.

- try something yourself, see if it works and report back here.

Re: Ruby carburetor

Hi Andrew,

While vapour/soda blasting will indeed get the exteriors looking like new, it's really perfect internals which will ensure your motoring's a joy rather than a PITA. I'd personally take the expert route which Ruairidh suggests as a pain free and ultimately cost effective way to happy motoring. How do I know this?

Cleaning contaminated car parts in a dishwasher may work in the short term, but it can ultimately damage the dishwasher, your health and the relationship with a partner!

Hope it goes well, bon courage,

Bill
