Stall camera

Hi all,

A little help needed from you tech boys.

Following on from the thefts at beaulieu, I've been looking at a camera for the stall.

I've checked ebay.

And not restricted myself to cost.

But nothing seams to give the constant run time. How long can I run the camera in one go.

Any help would be apreciated.

Tony.

Re: Stall camera

Most of the cameras will run for a couple of hours on the internal battery but would go for ages on a USB socket in the van or on a separate car battery.
Some have no capacity for residual memory and if the internal battery runs down, they revert to factory settings including date and time which may make a prosecution attempt invalid.
The cheaper ones generally have unintelligible instructions, often badly translated from Chinese as I found out the hard way.
Go for a high memory card type, SD64 is better than a 32.
Most will stream via Bluetooth to your phone or tablet if you can work out how to do it!
I had a similar problem many years ago and used a dummy with a flashing red LED and theft stopped instantly.
