I have a RP Saloon that has been stripped back to bare metal and primed.

I want to order Cellulose paint before Joe Public cannot buy it anymore - July 2006 I think - I am having a two tone scheme, how many litres of paint and thinners do I need to order.

I seem to recall seeing someone used 20 litres of thinners on a RM, if this helps.

It is 15 years since I painted professionally, so I did some brain wracking. 4 litres of primer filler. 6 litres of colour. If two tone :top 2 litres;bottom 4....5 litres of "gun cleaner" quality thinners for cleaning equiptment and you should get away ,just, with 5 litres of best thinners .Dont forget there is special masking tape if you are "two toning" . mac

oops! I just logged of for a cup of tea and realized I had not allowed for primer thinners. add another 5 of best . That should be spot on for everything. mac
