LED rear lights

My cabriolet has the original rear lamp on the spare wheel cover and two rather small stop/tail lights bolted on small brackets on the rear bumper. The two additions have always been troublesome with twin contact/twin filament bulbs giving problems from time to time. I was thinking of replacing these with something more appropriate - ie worked better and showed up better! Then i wondered about leds. Has anyone has gone down this route yet for rear lamps? I can't find anything on the web apart from http://www.norbsa02.freeuk.com/ but nothing really jumps out at me there.

Hugh

Try searching this forum, lots was discussed about this very subject a while ago and should be there in the archives.

One advantage was significantly less current draw from an led cluster as opposed to an incandescant lamp.
Was the site you looked at Paul Goffs? If I remember rightly there were several there which fit into a bayonet fitting, just be carefull with the overall size of the assembly!

Steve.
