Austin DB7?

I've had an email from someone with a handbook for a (alleged) Austin DB7.

They actually say :- "I have been searching websites about the Austin DB7. I have a car handbook for this vehicle from 1938. I was wondering if it would be of any interest to you or any of your fellow car enthusiasts".

Does this 1938 "DB7" mean anything to anyone?

DB7 ? - Surely he means Aston not Austin!

I doubt Aston Martin DB7s were made in 1938. Would suggest DB indicates Don't Buy. Cheers, Bill
