DW3 Wiper Motor Brushes

Any idea where I can get a couple of sets of carbon brushes for the DW3 electric wiper motor - The last type fitted to A7's, not the "Pull and Spin".

Sandy,

The Type DW3 was also fitted to Morris 8's 1937 to 1938. I can give you the original size of the carbons: 8.5 x 5.0 x 3.5 mm. Unfortunately I'm not aware of any suppliers stocking these parts.

Additional Information:

I believe the same size brushes as DW3 were fitted to the following types of Lucas wiper motor: CW, CWH, CWR and SW.

Have a look at powertoolspares.co.uk. They stock a HUGE range of carbon brushes for power tools - electric drills and the like - and give the sizes of them all. You may find something that just fits.
