Cut out fuses

What should the correct size be for the fuses in the cut out of a 1937 Austin Seven Pearl. In the car at present are two 35amp fuses. Other Austin Seven cars I have viewed have a variety of 25,10 and 8 amp fuses. What is correct
Thanks

Re: Cut out fuses

In my experience 8 amp is right.35 is VERY dangerous. mac

Re: Cut out fuses

Just a qualification for my advice. Most fuses do not "blow"at the current marked on them. thus an 8 amp fuse will not blow until the current reaches 16 amps. so that is plenty.. thus a 35 amp fuse doesn't bear thinking about!
