Just been shopping at our local LIDL store, this weeks promotion is motorcycle tackle, one item is a 2, 6 and 12V trickle charger for £4.99. Even says on the box that it is 'suitable for vintage cars'. I have purchased one, and intend to test it out on my caravan battery in the morning.

I will be interested to see how it performs. I need a charger myself. My old (V. old) one broke, found a second hand old (v. old) one which, on receipt, doesnt work. And now the batt is about flat.

I really want a charger/conditioner, but for that price (if its any good) I'll get one of those for now.

Currently on test with the caravan leisure battery.
Instructions say it can be permananently plugged in to maintain charge. We shall see
