Non technical Question

A group of us in 6 Sevens are planning a jaunt into France in the summer. I would be very grateful if anyone could kindly recommend/suggest a manufacturer/supplier of some commemorative rally plaques to affix to the front of the cars.

Re: Non technical Question

DAVID: When I've wanted these for PWA7C holidays I've run in the past, I've always found the local 'sign man' to be the cheapest. Every town has more than one and you don't have to deal with someone miles away who probably won't be interested in the small numbers you need in any event.

Also, be carefull where you fix to the front of your car. Covering the rad can lead to overheating (been there, done that etc.)

Re: Re: Non technical Question

With a 'Seven' you might have problems finding somewhere suitable for your rally plaque as the only place you can stick one will be over the N° plate, with a small notch cut out of the plaque for the starter shaft.

Steve's right about not covering the radiator. It's not been a problem for me in the past in France (see photo)

Re: Non technical Question

We have made plaques, for several trips, by computer printing the artwork and then double laminating ( one layer at a time ) and then punching two holes each side and fixing to the spare wheel with cable ties.

I reckon the back is the best place for the plaque as it does not upset the cooling and the following motorist has time to read it.

Have a great time !
