But where are they now.............

1907 - The Mad Motorists - 2007.
I'm sure lots of you have been following this but,

Has anyone heard of them since Tuesday June 19, the last bits of information that we've heard from them was, they had just been lost in the Gobi Desert, theres a stowaway on board, Vince had had his camera stollen in Ulaan Baatar and they were heading off to Sukhbaatar which was 216 miles from Ulaan Baatar in Mongolia. that was on the 19th June. Not to mention flying Austin 7's!!!

But where are they now, who knows??

Hi

I have just caught up with the story - incredible, and some of the pictures are quite stunning too - thanks for putting me on the right track.

Re: But where are they now.............

Good to see they are back on-line.

A friend of mine had a similar (well nearly) experience re. the baths and no plugs etc. (The hotel stated they had baths didn't they, what do you expect in mid-Russia). He booked a table in the no smoking area of a restraunt. It was on a raised dias in the centre of a very large room, and every other table there (50+) had cigar smokers at them. He had it explained to him - in Russian, that his WAS the non-smoking table.

Perhaps we have different expectations in this country - I know when I worked in China some 12 years ago, you had to modify your expectations considerably to match local reality.

The lads are doing well, soon be in Moscow then Paris and home.
