Headlamp Bulbs

Hello again,

Having just checked the bulbs on my 32 AH Tourer I have noticed that one of them has failed. Does anyone know of what 6v bulb I need to purchase as a replacement?

Many thanks

Nathan

Identify your bulb using this page:-http://tinyurl.com/2zrovx
You can buy them from here or search around and buy them cheaper elsewhere.

Re: Headlamp Bulbs

Nathan,

Presumably it does not still have the original reflectors in it, thus if they are a recent replacement, they are likely to be Honda's and they take American pre-focus bulbs, otherwise take the bulb into your local Auto Factor and they should be able to look it up in one of the standard reference books (Astralamp!) - mind you they may only have PC terminals and thus can only look up car make and model... I worked in a Auto parts shop, they braced themselves for my questions...

Now somewhere on the internet there is a copy of a page of the different bulbs available - Got it - Paul Goff's web site, the actual diagram is on :-

the general bulbs page and prices is on:-

Paul Goff is one of those suppliers who does the 6volt Quartz Halogen bulbs as well.

It's a start......

Re: Re: Headlamp Bulbs

Thanks Andy & Sandy,

Looks as if the bulbs are the BA15d 24/24W ones. I am guessing I am going to have to purchase them online unless anyone is aware of an auto factors in the Hampshire/Isle of Wight area who still stock such items.

Once again thank you, hopefully one day I will develop the knowledge to be able to assist others, but in the meantime I guess I will be bothering everyone with questions!

Re: Headlamp Bulbs

Motorcycle shops, particularly ones that have scooters, are a good source of 6v bulbs

Re: Re: Headlamp Bulbs

Wouldn't an A7 specialist be the best bet? They will not only likely have both conventional and quartz bulbs in stock but will also know what you are talking about!!

Derek.
