Original Ulster for sale

Ulster for sale

Looks rather nice, although not to sure about the engine...

Any bets on how much it will go for?

Re: Original Ulster for sale

Hammer price = 19700 pounds looks very tasty indeed.

Re: Re: Original Ulster for sale

Have this car on my records as a possible EA sports but the chassis no is too early.Engine no does not coincide with known batches.

Re: Original Ulster for sale

Reduce that hammer price me thinks.

On a serious note just how many genuine Ulsters are known to exist?

Re: Original Ulster for sale

David (Howe).

The car is on my dad's list as well but he has it noted with a different engine number, (113563). Not sure where his info came from though.

David (other!)

Glad to see this forum is of use, (a touch slower than the other though...)

Re: Re: Original Ulster for sale

That's the car road tested in Autocar in 1982 when owned by Jonathan Cowley. The test was reprinted in the Brooklands Books complilation of A7 road tests

Re: Original Ulster for sale

I will check the archive at work tomorrow*... (Do you know what month per chance?)

*I work for Haymarket who print Autocar - in fact I am working on the Autocar website at the moment.

Re: Re: Original Ulster for sale

113563 doesnt come up as a sports engine either,Ive looked at the other photos now and dont really like what i see.

Re: Re: Original Ulster for sale

The article suggests original chassis and engine with a postwar Cambridge head. The body is Stuart Rolt.
