GMA219

I see on ebay at the moment there are a couple of nice paddock shots of GMA219. This was the car documented in the book "Building and racing my 750" by P J Stephens which I have a copy of.

I wonder if it still exists?
Anyone know of its wereabouts?

Steve

Re: GMA219

I speak from memory, Steve, but while aearching for something else (anyone own a Falcon bodied special reg. KPB 39?) I came across some ads in an old 750 Bulletin circa 1960 where someone was selling the Stoneham Special piecemeal. Pretty sure it went in many different directions, body here, axles there, etc.
A friend of mine owns the crankcase, which had suffered a severe blow up but is now repaired and destined for his Ulster. Don't know where the rest is!

Regards, Stuart

Re: GMA219

A pity we didn't have chassis numbers for these cars, as there appears to be plenty of body-less / registration-less chassis' about, many of which have probably been under specials at one time or another.
