ballamy IFS (indepanent front suspension)

Does anyone have a picture of a ballamy IFS (independent front suspension)?

My A7 special is fitted with the same but in order to best restore it i'd like to see what it should look like. Here's hoping there is one out there.

Re: ballamy IFS (indepanent front suspension)

There are quite a lot of pictures in the book on LMB by Tony Russell, "Out In Front". Could be a good starting point.

Regards, Stuart

Re: ballamy IFS (independent front suspension)

Have you seen this? I think the info you need is here....
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Leslie-Ballamy-Story-Tony-Russell/dp/1899870695/ref=sr_1_1/203-1176695-8967952?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1193875541&sr=8-1
Although Ballamy some how was able to patent the swing axle in the 1920's it was previously used by Sopwith and Fokker et Al during and possibly before the Great War (1914-18)
