Re: Unfinished Web Content Information

Hope the old site

http://daphne.bio.flinders.edu.au/austin7/

brings back some memories! It has for me.

But one last thing that might help the cause in the future...

Re: Unfinished Web Content

Any new webmasters of my website material should be award of the work I started – namely putting together all the Spare Parts Manuals for “The Austin Seven Motoring Pages”. This work was started (see the drafts on my old site) and got bogged down by copyright concerns. Please be aware that some copyright MAY still apply on some Austin material. And as I found out, there are people in cyber land that will pick you up on copyright issues. To save re-developing the wheel yet again, interested parties should have a look at this link on my old site, it explains the background and where I ended up before closing the site down. I think it would be great to have all the manuals up on a website for reference and I hope someone runs with the idea to see it completed.

So go to this url:

http://daphne.bio.flinders.edu.au/austin7/_disc1/00000ad2.htm

And follow the discussion by using the “Next Article” and “Previous Article” to see what I understand is still the current position on the use of the Spare Parts Manuals.

Thanks should go to patent attorney Peter Fisher for his valuable help back then.

Cheers....

Bruce

Re: Re: Unfinished Web Content Information

Dear Bruce,

as I was the first to pick up your thread back in 2003 it seems right to do so here also...

At present a portion of handbooks and Spare parts Lists have been scanned in and will be uploaded to the A7CA website in the near future. If you look back at the postings in this forum you will see that I have posted a full list of the items the A7CA holds in it's library. Some are photocopies and individuals who have originals of these items have contacted me to allow us to copy them.

My e-mail address is above and I would welcome contact from you if you have items scanned already.

Many thanks
