Mystery Ulster

I copied this from an advertisement (oil or petrol company) in the 1960's. Looks like a dummy number plate. Also seems to have a touring front mudguard fitted on the OS. Any ideas whose car it was?

Never mind the registration number, what's her phone number? Cheers, Bill in Oz

Re: Mystery Ulster

I remembered seeing this photo in the grey magazine and thanks to the new index I was able to find it.

John Hinchliffe who was then the Editor published it in his Page 3 Girl/Boy series and asked who it was.

According to a later note from Cyril Johnston "It was the front cover of Motor for week ending July 4th 1964, price 1/6d. The original credit inside the front cover captions the photo "'Do it Yourself'" by Neil Nimmo" Plus, (the next President of the VSCC) Roger Ballard had also kept the cover and pointed out that the car had been re-registered in Coventry in late 1961.
