Brass brazing required

Hoping somebody can recommend where I can get my brass windscreen divider brazed. Its from my Bayliss and the item separates the top and bottom sections of the windscreen. This item also incorporates an rain gulley making it impossible to replace with an new one.The only hope I have is that somebody has the skills to repair this item. Thank you for any help.

Re: Brass brazing required

David,You could do it yourself using Easiflow silver solder and flux as used by model engineers. It has a lower melting point than the brass used on A7 radiator cowls, windscreen frames etc.I obtained 600mm long sticks of 6mm x 1mm section solder from a local engineer's supplier here in Sheffield. They are about £7 each stick. Not sure how much the flux is because I still have some left in the tin I bought years ago.
It is not too difficult to do but practice first on some scrap brass.

Hi Dave,

Thank you for the tips, I had been contacted earlier being offered advise regarding silver solder. I feel that it is worth having a go myself, nothing to lose. Thanks again.
