Hope it works!

Re: posting pictures

Hi Nathan, tried what you suggested, double checked it, still not recognised! Thanks though! Mike.

Re: Re: posting pictures

Go to Mike Whittome's posting on August 12th 2007. Very informative and I found it worked first time.

Re: posting pictures

Click me!.

You can also use normal html to do it.

Re: posting pictures

Many thanks to all who took the time and trouble, Mike.

Re: posting pictures

I have had a request to give a few "pointers" on how to do links and images. (I build websites for a living so spend all day doing this sort of thing.)

On this forum you need to use html to create links and "embed" images etc.

This is a good guide for html.

The above code was done thus;
This is a good guide for html.

An image can be added like this;

An easy way to find the "address" of an image is to "right click" on the image and choose "view image", (or something similar - if on an Apple Mac use control and click). This should show just the image, you can then copy the web address for the image, (the http://www.austinharris.co.uk/files/marvin_logo.gif from above for example.)

And it can be made a link as well;

If you want to be really clever you can add a couple of other bits as well;

The target="_new" makes the link open in a new window and the border="0" takes the border off of the linked image.

The best thing to do is to try it out and use the preview button, I always use it when creating posts with links and images in.

Re: posting pictures
