G.V.B.Cooke

George Cooke won the Irene Trophy in the 1930 Irish GP for the best placed Irish finisher. I am sure everyone will be glad to know this trophy is stil awarded in 2010 for a trial in Eire.

Busy Night!
George Cooke was a member of the BRDC and was the Chief Paddock Marshall at races in the Isle of Man post war and also the British Empire Trophy at Oulton Park. Later he held the same office at Silverstone for The International Trophy and British GP.
