Can anyone assist with a Cozette No 4

Can anyone assist to find a genuine Cozette No 4 and carb? Preferrably in good usable condition but a unit requiring a rebuild not objected to

I've been looking for years and found nothing.
There's a guy in France that makes new ones (I think for 10K euros). I might have the details somewhere.

I think there are a fair few of us who live in hope of finding an original number 4.

There is a set of raw castings for one on ebay at the moment. Same seller also has the engine castings as well.

The castings are the easy bit. I've started on my real Cozette but keep getting distracted by keeping my blown Ulster together!

I seem to remember Reg Nice saying that running with a cozette carb the fuel consumption was in the teens.
Is there someone in france making original cozette superchargers charles ?

Yes. Someone appears to be making them. It was posted on French EBay a while back.
The article with Reg's comments was in the Grey mag in 1997

The jets shouldn't be too difficult to make,the problem is holes less than about 0.8mm,I made them for Zeniths before.

I think I may have mentioned these before on this forum but, for anyone undertaking serious tuning with fixed jet carbs. I think they are well worth the purchase price (and rarely seen these days!)

I have checked through a lead with the Salmson people. Dead end I am afraid, they are all using the larger Cozettes and are all replicas.

Apparently a No 4 fitted as non standard to a GS and now removed.

Hi Alan,
I emailed them and they confirmed they can provide a new Cozette N°4 for 6000 € run in & bench tested. They also make Cozette carbs.

I confirm here again that these people can provide the Cozette SC and the Cozette carb as well. They are located near Cognac so it's maybe an occasion to refill too...

Perhaps Alan has found a genuine Cozette No 4 and carb - although I expect if so, it would need a full rebuild and probably cost a lot more than the new reproduction.
