Instrument Board Colour.


Can anyone tell me whether the black colour of the instrument board on a 1933
Box Saloon was gloss black, semi gloss, satin or matt or even crinkle finish ?

Any help much appreciated.

In my experience, plain gloss black, here's a shot from the Pinterest site, which shows an absolutely original and unrestored dash, which clearly shows that the dash panel hasn't been repainted!

Thanks Ivor. That was my guess but it was only a guess.

I have a spare empty instrument board into which I'm looking to place a correct set of instruments. Within my current board I have an incorrect ammeter and a fuel gauge that doesn't work at all, so it's just something to put together over the winter and replace next spring.
