A trusted lifelong friend (Graham Still of http://www.grsmotorsport.co.uk )has just tooled up to make replacement Chummy fuel tanks. Fabricated exactly to original dimensions. They are made of 1050A Aluminium, pressure tested to 20 psi and then powder coated satin black. The material is completely ethanol stable. There is a slight change to detail of the outlet, replacing the 1/8 bsp fixed elbow with a 1/4 bsp straight outlet, removing the blockage bottleneck, enabling a wider choice of tap, and allowing a better flow. Supplied to suit the standard bayonet cap, (excellent replicas available from Tony Leslie) . We are about to fit one to one of the family Chummies and whilst not for the purist, it does not draw the eye, looking entirely suitable.
