Steering Wheel Re-Covering

Does anyone know of a firm (preferably Midlands) who can re-plastic a steering wheel from a 33 Box Saloon ?

Any help appreciated.

Paul I am sure you will find some one.. A word of caution. the pre preparation of the wheel is essential.the wheel should be bead blasted and all imperfections attended to first.. the covering, in my experience will not cover them.Use metallic filler. I remember my first one ,when I just gave it to them as was, expecting all imperfections to be covered by the coating. A big no. if it has the hand grips as little separate bits ,they will have to have the seams filled. also mask off the centre yourself. masking tape is not good enough ,you will need a heat proof tape. hope it helps...

Re: Steering Wheel Re-Covering

As Ian McG says, talk to Ian Dunford. I have a similar wheel that needs the same work and that's what I'll be doing.

Hello Paul,

I believe what you are looking for is known as polydip coating,

I do not recommend shot blasting but either glass or soda blasting the wheel first
