History of FO 3040

Does anyone out there know any history of my LWB Tourer FO 3040? I believe it spent some time in the Portsmouth / Southsea area.

Re: History of FO 3040

As you probably know, "FO" was the index mark for Radnorshire. Survival of registration records is very hit and miss, but Powys County Records Office may retain something. Otherwise try The Kithead Trust.

Location: Herefordshire

Re: History of FO 3040

The original registration records for "FO" Radnorshire registered cars are apparently held at the County Archives Office, County Hall, Llandrindod Wells, LD1 5LG. Tel: 01597 826087.

Jeff.

Location: Almost but not quite, the far North East of England

Re: History of FO 3040

Thanks guys. I do have a copy of the registration record for Radnorshire. FO 3040 was one of three tourers purchased for the Radnorshire Standing Joint Committee in March 1934. Thereafter I have no trace of ownership until its last owner. It was at one time on the A7CA chassis register(wrongly as FO 2040) as a 750mc member but my enquiries from this source have revealed nothing - so far!
