I had some success with TIG welding lugs onto starting handle extensions where they had snapped off below the dynamo. The fan pulley castings were less pleasant to weld, so, does anyone know the spec of the original material used for these items and if they changed between components or between models?

I was hoping to be able to repair a few batches for other people.
