The Ruby is running!

There I was yesterday, four up, trying to teach someone how to drive one on 'ours', but after a while we both conceded that they where not quite up to it yet.

I, therefore, got back into the driving seat and going along merrily in moderate traffic in top, when BANG!, the gear lever decides to come away in my hand. It had parted company right at the point it entered the gearbox.

Now I'm used to driving and changing gear without using the clutch, but on more modern beasts that have a few more gee gees, so wasn't looking forward to this on our way back home.

Crawling up to a set of traffic lights (robots) endeavouring to catch them when they turned green, a traffic cop waved us own.

"OH BOTHER" said I to all and sundry, what now?

DRRRRRRRRG

Alarm clock pulled me out of this mess
Just HAD to share this
