Block and head high temperature paint

Does anybody know what the block and head looked like when the Seven left the factory? Was it shiny black, or matt, or something in between, and can anybody recommend a product?

Car Plan Engine Lacquer is my own preference product-wise, it can be bought in Black both gloss or matt finish.

I have just bought a tin on ebay - about £9 including postage for 250ml which should be plenty.
