Hi,

The speedo on the Opal doesn't work at the moment. I have checked both the drive cable and the speedo itself which are both working well.

The cable connection to the gearbox drive pinion is nice and secure so I am guessing that the drive pinion inside the gearbox has a problem.

Has anyone any experience of this?

I know that some of the cherished suppliers provide replacement pinion gears. Has anyone ever replaced one and can advise on the process?
