Re: Kop Hill Climb

Mum, Dad, me and the missus will be there on Saturday in our 7s.
We're not going up the hill (far too long in 1st gear - other competitors may get inpatient)and there is no 750MC stand this year, so we'll just be parking up and enjoying a fantastic event.
Thoroughly recommend it. I love the way the locals embrace the event, even though it's probably a nuisance for them.

Hope you have a good weekend Phil.

Colin

Re: Kop Hill Climb

The Spien Kops and presumably most of the other Kops scattered around England acquire the name from the disastrous Boer War episode. Those with a sense of history, which presumably part explains obsession with Sevens, might be interested to Google it.
