Another excellent post Ruairidh

I should be putting a post up from the South Wales Bryngarw weekend but we arrived a bit late for the run and my oil gauge had decided to vibrate wildly (turned out to be the gauge not a blockage) AND it was throwing it down. Still 8 or 9 cars did a tour of the lanes with ice cream or tea on Porthcawl front.

Re: ScA7C Borders Raid 2015...

All good fun!
One day I will have to organise 'my' Borders Raid for the PWA7C to rendezvous with the SA7C Borders Raid?

Re: ScA7C Borders Raid 2015...

Great posting.
Looks like great fun, jealous I was not there.

Re: ScA7C Borders Raid 2015...

Yes - a truly memorable weekend for me as a first timer with the ScA7C, blown away by the warmth of a welcome which gives real meaning to the term 'Austin Seven Friends' - plus sheer amazement (not to mention gratitude) at the speed and efficiency of replacing my broken halfshaft...cutting edge (sorry) mechanics led by Ruairidh, Neil and team, lightened of course by a stream of quick wit, repartee - and sheer ribaldry! The 65 blew home the 100 miles from Chillingham Castle - job's a real good'un. Now I just have to locate 6ft pole to tweak those hub nuts...Thanks to all again - I'll be back for sure!

Re: ScA7C Borders Raid 2015...

such great company and camaradie up there that this time I went up in my campervan without my box saloon to socialise and sampled the delights of being driven around in Richard Arkells type 65 and Rupert Pughs ratty Ruby. Tremendous fun and thanks to all concerned and Neil and Andrea for organising.

hi howard,

rain at the welsh, are you sure

nice one R

the first time tracy came to guildtown with me, she pointed out how you shook everyones hand as they came onto the field. sometimes even getting into a jog across the field to welcome people.

i hadnt noticed this before, being a bit slow.

but a worm welcome, and enthusiasm. makes a good rally.
