Re: Ruby ARQ upholstery colours?

Geoff - the "Source Book" describes the upholstery and door pads being trimmed with "quality hide", so I guess the back seat is original. Cloth or moquette was also used from 1935. Are your seats pneumatic?

Six months is a long time!

Re: Ruby ARQ upholstery colours?

Hello Rick,
Perused the two 'Austin' books yesterday, for the first time in ages.

No pneumatics in sight, with foam used in the rear seat cushion and no doubt ditto for the front seats.

The back seat leather feels and behaves like card right now, so is going to need copious amounts of leather feed to soften it up.

My 'six months' looks to be extended, at the rate I'm going.

Re: Ruby ARQ upholstery colours?

Hi I have replaced the whole of the inside of my Mk1 Ruby and have patterns for the back seat and a roll of cloth in the garage which is the same blue as the side panel in your picture. If you email me, I share my experience and where I got materials from.
