An advanced notice for all you sporting types!

As some of you will know our usual venue, Butt's Quarry at Ashover, has been sold. The new owner has modified many sections and put conditions on the venue which we find both unacceptable and not what trialists would expect.

We have now returned to one of our old venues at EATON in Leicestershire which is between Grantham and Melton Mowbray. Map ref: 792291. The site is just outside the village on the western side.
Date: Tuesday 29th December.

Competitors, spectators and especially marshals are invited to blow away the excesses of Christmas and where the term " Eaton Mess " may take on a meaning of its own!!

Time to bump this up the batting list!

What would be a sensible time for spectators to arrive please?

Sections will open at 10.00 but if you're intent on marshaling please arrive by 09.00 for the marshals briefing. Entrance off the road into the top field used for car parking looks muddy but has a stone substrate.
At present we have around 45 entries - mostly Sevens but with a smattering of MGs and Model As.
The nearest postcode to the site is NG32 1SF - the site being around 1/4 mile outside the village on the western side, on the road to the village of Stathern.
I was on site today and it promises to be muddy!!

Is the date and venue booked for the next trial yet?

I realise this is rather early, but my wife is planning our Christmas / New year trip to the Midlands and I would really like to be able to fit in the trial this year.
