KOSOVO calla out halt from Belgrade to Europe. SERBIA, in her negotiations for joining the UE: "We will respect all the conditions, excepting that on the independence of PRISTINA."
A short synopsis of the article is translated below:
BELGRADE: Everything, but not the independence of KOSOVO. Whilst a new cycle of negotiations has started in Brussels between the representatives of Belgrade and Pristina, the office of the Serbian President TOMISLAV NIKOLIC has reaffirmed the position of his own country "We intend to respect all the conditions for entry into the UE, up until the point where we are requested to recognise KOSOVO" has affirmed the principal councillor of the head of state, STANISLAV PAK, replying thus to the declaration of MICHAEL ROTH, responsible for European Affairs at the German Foreign Ministry, who, during a visit to Belgrade has wished that -- "all will be clear and will resolve the question of KOSOVO before the entry of Serbia into the UE".
A phrase to which the Serbian authorities have replied immediately -- "The constitution of Serbia is clear and the President will never violate it", said PAK. Such as to say, KOSOVO 'may have declared independence in 2008 but Serbia still considers it as one of its own provinces.
