Illness of a very great friend

I have enjoyed the friendship of a gentleman in Trieste for many years. I believe some other members of the association also knew him. His name is : Sergio Praselj and he uses 'Servolo' and 'Saulnier' as e-mail addresses. Just before I was admitted myself to Steppig Hill Hospital Stockport last week I received an e-mail from one of our acqauaintances to tell me that Sergio had been found lying on his kitchen floor. Apparently he had suffered a massive stroke some four days ago and simply because one of his friends could'n't get through on his mobile phone after many attempts decided to go and see what was the matter he found Sergio lying on the kitchen floor. Called an ambulance and Sergio is now in hospital and is in a critical condition.

Re: Illness of a very great friend

Got an e-mail yesterday from another friend of ours telling me that Sergio is now showing good signs of making a slow recovery from the massive stroke he suffered. So there's life in the old dog yet!? Thanks be to heaven.

Re: Illness of a very great friend

Good evening, excuse me for bothering you, I do not know if you remember me, I am a relative of Sergio Praselj. My family tried to get in touch with him by phone for holidays, but we did not succeed. I then accidentally I found yours post on this forum and found out that he had an attack. Do you know something to tell us how he is and whether we can and how to get into the contact with him?

Re: Illness of a very great friend

I have emailed Jasna with a reply. I had already emailed Larryy, when I knew he had come out of hospital. When I saw Jasna's post, I decided to telephone Larry's number - and he answered almost immediately He was gratified that people were concerned about him but he is unwell and not his usual lively self. He said, however, that he had a class of red wine in front of him and had been watching television.
