Peter Madden

Just to let you all know that Dad has had an accident while on holiday in Wales. He's OK but will be out of action for a while.

He tripped and fell over a harbour wall and landed badly on the sand around 25 feet below. He had to have an ambulance, the coast guard and air ambulance out to assist with his recovery from the incoming tide.

Dad is fine and in good spirits (something to do with the morphine and ketamine) but he has 4 broken ribs, a fractured pelvis, a fractured wrist as well as lots of cuts and bruises. He also had a chest drain in because of a pneumothorax which is being removed tonight.

He is currently in Morriston Hospital near Swansea. We don't know how long he's going to be in hospital, best guess at the moment is a week but no one knows for sure.

Re: Peter Madden

Dad is making good progress and has now been moved onto a ward.
I spoke to him tonight and he's feeling good considering the amount of injuries he has.
Hopefully they'll soon move him to a hospital that is a bit closer fairly soon.

Re: Peter Madden

Send him our love and wish him a very speedy recovery xxx

Re: Peter Madden
