Hunte entered service in January 1992 with NZ Coaster Services, who changed their operating name to South Pacific Shipping around June/July 1992.
Initially she entered service between Onehunga, New Plymouth, Nelson and Yamba but after 3 voyages this was changed to Auckland-Sydney. From June 1992, she operated Tauranga-Auckland-Brisbane-Tauranga and she remained on this run for a year, when she switched to Auckland-Suva-Lautoka-Auckland, (Noumea added later) where she stayed for her remaining time with the Company.
The baby of the fleet, she only carried a of eight - Captain, three Officers & four Crew.

Having spent the last few years sailing around the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea as the Nasip, she has finally ended her days on the Beach at Aliaga, Turkey.
Possibly named Topcik, she arrived there on or about the 9 September 2017 and was beached on 13 September 2017.
