1969: Order placed with Upper Clyde Shipbuilders.
4 Oct 1972: Delivered to NZ Railways.
2 Nov 1972: Arrived at Wellington.
6 Dec 1972: Entered service.
Feb 1977: Struck rocks off Clay Point, Tory Channel. Damage to hull plating on starboard side.
Mar 1991: Went to Dunedin for a refit by Sims Engineering Ltd.
24 Dec 2000: Withdrawn from service. Returned to service briefly filling in for Aratere while she underwent engine repairs in Auckland.
May 2001: Sold to Worldwide Shipping & Trading Services and departed Wellington for the last time on 10 May.
8 Jun 2001: Arrived at Alang for breaking up.
