Built as Tini, she arrived in Auckland under that name on 14 December 2012. Renamed Spirit Of Independence shortly after and registered in Auckland.
Entered service on a weekly schedule Auckland-Lyttelton-Nelson-New Plymouth-Auckland and remained on this until late June 2014 when Nelson was dropped from the schedule in favour of Tauranga.
Her new schedule (again weekly) was Auckland-Tauranga-Lyttelton-New Plymouth-Auckland.

Spirit of Independence berthed at Auckland (Bledisloe Wharf) on 5 December 2014 and was handed back to her owners, being renamed Tini.

As Tini, she sailed from Auckland on 8 January 2015 at 1603 for that wonderful destination "sea".
A check on marinetraffic.com however, revealed that she was headed for Shanghai with an ETA of 25 January.
