For anything relating to the 44ft Lifeboats

I have my very own 44ft MLB engineer EN3/MKCS William Collette Ret.
who has very kindly agreed to help you with your engineering questions.

Re: Re: 44388

The 44345, 44382, and 44388 were all in storage at a marina in Grand Haven, at least until recently.
I would be interested to hear where any of these boats end up, so that I can included them on the “Ex 44ft Lifeboats” page on this site.

Clive.

Re: Re: 44388

Thanks for the update. She was a great boat and I really enjoyed working with her. Those new 47'tin cans don't have anything on the old 44's.
Happy Holidays.

That would be Djibouti.

Hi Paul,
There are 2 44s left at Group Grd. Haven that I know of. One is being sent overseas to Jabuti or something like that. I think it may be 388. I don't think it was with the group that went to Tunisia. The other I think is the old Ludington boat and they want it back for display.

Re: Re: Re: 44388

I have an exact custom built wooden model of this lifeboat. Was never sure of her service. But it is a beautiful model. I served in the M field. FYI only.
