Hello folks. I'm considering buying an old 44. 44309 is available and sounds like it's in fair shape through a private party. They want 75k. I'd like to have one and spend another 100k or so converting it to a family cruiser that can handle heavy seas. I'd have an architect do the design work such that stability, handling, and self righting capabilities remain. Any advice would be appreciated, or any knowledge of other 44's for sale. I'd almost prefer a real beater for 20 k with a good hull, as I'll completely re-do it anyway. My email is islandsherpa@msn.com Thanks, MH Anyone know the history of 44309?
