Why was green antifouling used on some Waveney's?

On page 50 of Nicholas Leach's book (The Waveney Lifeboat), it shows a photo of "Connel Elizabeth Cargill" 44-007 painted with green antifouling!!!!




Going by the date of the photo (1986), I guess the painting might have been done at the Tyrells boat yard.




Doe's anyone know why this was and if any of the other Waveney's were ever painted in this colour (I believe they might have been)?
