Microglass of N. Tonawanda, NY (USA) is coming out with a new fiberglass kit depicting the 44' USCG MLB in 1/16th scale. I saw preliminary photos of the first hull and the mold. This is easily the finest and most accurate MLB kit I've seen to date. Karl Kalb of Microglass (www.microglass.net) says he is working on the deck and superstructure molding right now and will be ready for market in late March-April of this year. I have hull #1 enroute for a review at this time and hope to have it in time to include as a review in the Spring 2003 issue of Model Ship Journal.
