44' Motor Lifeboat Donation to USCG Auxiliary Unit

I am in the process of joining the CGAux in New Jersey and was thinking that a great joint Aux/local community project could be the restoration of a surplus 44’ CG Motor Lifeboat. My thought is that once the boat was restored and re-commissioned, it would go into service with my local Auxiliary Flotilla in NJ. Does anyone have any advice on where or how I might begin the search for surplus/decommissioned boat that could be obtained as a restoration project that ultimately finds new life as a CGAux patrol boat? Not only would the boat be an outstanding facility for my Flotilla to use in our local patrols in and around the Raritan Bay, but it is an amazing symbol of the Coast Guard’s heritage which would a reminder of such whenever we go on patrol. Any advice you could offer would be much appreciated.
