RLH35

Most surprised to find your page! Your listing does not include RLH35 (MXX235), which I fondly remember when it was in use by the 16th Reigate (Grammar School) Sea Scouts until the late 1980s. I know that it went across to Switzerland, and apparently still exists.

Re: RLH35

Hi John
Go to Fleet list, scroll down to RLH 35 click on fleet no. and you'll see photos of it before it left for Switzerland and at two separate sites in Basle. Still seems to be in RGS dark blue livery.

Re: Re: RLH35

Hi Geoff

Thanks for the reply - sorry it's taken 2.5 years to find it and reply myself!

I remember distinctly the long trawl to the Lake District from Reigate - c 1985, including a stop over in Sandbach at a school somewhere. The great thing about the RLH was its ability to carry numerous canoes on the lower deck! The downside was the terrible draft coming up the stairs when trying to sleep during night journeys! Glad it survived, though.
