Noticed your comments on the cat with skin allergy. I have used Camrosa ointment very successfully on many animals including a pig for problems like this. It was developed for horses with sweet itch but works like magic on other animals too. My only cat was a Norwegian forest cat who walked into our house one evening. She was very thin. We tried to find her owner unsuccessfully and she stayed 14 years. I have always found other cats rather second rate in comparison. I was searching for for sale cats and came across your site. I need an outdoor cat though, so am not a good candidate for adoption.

I used to have cats, but my last one died nearly a year ago. Beginning to think about getting cats again, so I\'ve been browsing websites. I\'m used to moggies and never really considered pedigree cats. But NFCs are so beautiful, and from all I\'ve read, they make good pets. It\'s tempting.

i was browsing looking for a cat that looked like mine,, i got him as a tiny kitten when i lived in Shetland, he is now 15 years old. He is defiantly NF or part NF. He rules the house, and i let him. His name is Tatlock and he is the love of my life. he is a stunning Ginger and white. sadly he will no longer let me brush him so i get well over charged at the vets to do this for me,, £150 per \'fur do\'\' and he goes twice a year, I love him so i pay it,,, \"\" beautiful breed the Norwegian forest cat

Just here because I will be buying (or rescuing if I can) another NFC when I return to England in September. My beautiful girl Saga is simply the finest cat I have ever known, and I have gone from disdaining all pedigree cats to NFC obsession because of her. Please help keep the personality going-looks,well of course they are beautiful but it\'s that wild heart I live, keep the gene pool deep and the cats magical please. \"\"

looking to replace our 30 year old blue smoke bi-colour Norwegian Forester whom passed away last July

Where are you from?

Victoria, British Columbia Canada

Do you have any comments?

We lost our Norwegian Forest blue smoke bi-colour last July
He was at least 30 years old
He appeared at my parents home as as an approximately 2 year old
neutered stray
We really miss Muffin and want to get another one just like him
Could you help us?
We saw one needing a home right after Muffin died, but that
one had to go to a home with no other pets because it
an infectious disease needing management.

Could you recommend any breeders to us who breed blue smoke bi-colours

Thank you
The Rowntrees

I recently adopted a cat from a charity based where I live, they classed him as semi long haired. But so far everyone thats seen him or pictures have suggested he is either maine coon cross or even a norwegian forest cat maybe not full breed. I was wandering if I can send anyone a few pictures of him to be sure? We have no background on him, just that his past owners for whatever reason gave him up. Hes very loving and friendly towards everyone!! Any help would be great.

Hi
Thank you for leaving a message in our Guestbook. Yes of course please send photos to Lorraine at norgeskaukatt@btinternet.com and I will do my best to ascertain what your cat is.
Best regards

We adopted a kitten abandoned on a dairy farm the week before Christmas 2011. Our veterinarian/breeder said she is mainly Norwegian Forest cat. Can you tell me if most or all pure-bred cats of this kind develop ruffs? Our Gracie Belle has the beautiful plumed tail, tufted paws and ears, and longer fur on her underside, but not much ruff. I wondered if it is longer if the cat is actually in a cold climate outdoors. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration. We have a dear friend in Small Dole, with whom we stayed during a visit to Lewes in 2008 (just a bit of info to show our admiration for you and your country!). Best wishes, Mary Ann
