Re: Events in Cardiff

Thanks for pointing those out.

This touches on something that I've been wondering about for a while. What would you think if we dedicate an entire threat to stuff going on in, and around the city?

Re: Events in Cardiff

Why threaten them??

Re: Events in Cardiff

The Service Design Network global conference is in Cardiff next week. Previous hosts include Amsterdam & Paris and there are 450 delegates. Not a huge deal but it is the type of event I'd like to see more of in the city!

Re: Events in Cardiff

Reading this article makes me think that maybe our bid for hosting some of the Euro 2020 matches has been fairly well thought out and initially I'm quite impressed they've approached Bristol airport to offer connections to the city from 2 airports.

Good luck to the FAW, I would love to see us win this.

...Ashes First Test kicking off in Cardiff in 2015

I'll make a note of the dates and book a holiday cos it'll be pi****g down here!

Re: Events in Cardiff

July should be okay, hopefully. Hosted one in May was a mistake though. I'm not sure quite how they do it, beating Manchester and Leeds with all their Test history, but fair play to them. I suspect there'll be some moaners (not least about the lack of an Ashes Test in the north) but the ECB must have their reasons.

Headingley (Leeds) didn't want an Ashes Test for some reason. Old Trafford did though, and I agree it is slightly odd that Old Trafford didn't get an Ashes Test (though the fact they had one in 2013 probably goes some way to explaining their absence in 2015).
