Carb problem

My friends 1935 Ruby will tick over nicely but stalls when the increasing the speed. It also spits back through the carb occasionally? All jets have been checked, plugs cleaned, points checked etc. Any suggestions while we have a cup of coffee?

Check if the fuel pump is delivering enough fuel.

Many thanks A in the S for your reply. Problem sorted - old fuel. The addition of a couple of fresh gallons solved the problem. Thanks also to the Doc in Ongar.
