I've bought a new indicator knob but looking at how it attaches I assume the end of my actuating leaver has snapped off. Its either supposed to be a square end with a hole for the screw to go through or a slot so you can slide the knob on.

Before I try to patch the end it would be good to know what its supposed to look like

Good morning Mark. The lever has broken off across the hole through which the holding screw into the knob passes.
The knob should have a groove machined into it with a blind threaded hole for the screw.
