Hello Willard,

We just wanted to say "thank you" for providing us with a nice cottage and great spot for our family vacation! The cottage was lovely and spotless (we thanked Virginia!). We loved the beach and were there daily for walks, crab searching and jaunts in the water. We also visited a beach in North Rustico after visiting Anne of Green Gables and Basin Head twice which was a huge hit with the boys having that bridge to jump off of. We loved PEI and I personally would live there in a flash! The countryside is beautiful and the people were friendly everywhere we went.

Once again, thank you, and I hope you continue to have success with renters at Duneside!

Karen and family.

Willard,

We had a beautiful time at Duneside Cottage. Upon arriving on the Island we detoured a bit to take in the DELICIOUS "New Glasgow Lobster Dinners" and therefore only arrived at our cottage at 8pm on Saturday. The following day after 11am Mass, we had a peek at the awesome beach. We actually spent our first three days touring the area and visiting GREENWICH PROV. PARK. One of our great thrills each day was first stopping at the EAST POINT LIGHTHOUSE to feed a beautiful family of foxes. To me, they didn't seem quite as big as ours and were timid but quite hungry and the parents would come right up to the cars to get the food we would throw for them and the Dad would take some back to the three tiny ones, which we could see frolicking near the bushes of a sealed-up cottage. Many tourists would stop to feed them and take movies and photos as Paul did. To my delight I saw a rabbit and a chipmunk in the yard beside the cottage.

Of course we took in more restaurants and we especially enjoyed the SANDSTONE RESTAURANT -- what a view!!! THANK YOU for mentioning it to me as it would be very easy to miss. We especially enjoyed their mussels and their different and very delicious lobster roll (on garlic buns) which must be eaten with fork and knife.

On Wednesday we simply relaxed and I read a good mystery book which I found in the cottage and was able to finish before we left. Thursday began with a gorgeous warm sun, so we spent a good part of the day at the beach. I must have walked several miles. The water is CRYSTAL CLEAR due the very light coloured sand. It's actually one of the nicest beach we've ever seen and so private!!! Most times we had miles of beach all to ourselves. Friday was more of the same.

Our cottage was nice and very clean and I especially LOVED the fact that it was so PRIVATE. We would love to return again sometime.

We enjoyed meeting your Housekeeper, Virginia, and her hubby, Paul.

Best regards to all,

Rita

My family had a very pleasant week at Duneside Cottage, Bothwell, PEI. The beach stretches as far as the eye can see, and feels like your own private island. A great get-away-from-it-all location, comfy cottage, well-priced, hassle free week.

I've been coming to Prince Edward Island for 5 years now with my family and we love it. I think cottages like this one are the way to go if you want to experience the authenticity of PEI while still being comfortable
