Looking for the lyrics to "Pat of Mullingar" and came across your site. I didn't know all the words, but I do know enough to make a couple of corrections to what you have here: It's a codger, not a BADGER, that "I know...who came out without a scar." It's Peeler, not "pillar"--This term refers to British PM Robert Peel, who established metropolitan and county constabularies in the 1820s. (I'm too lazy to look it up myself right now, so I hesitate to say more! |
